Balconies

A balcony projects from the wall of a building and is enclosed with a balustrade. Compton welding can create customised original designs, or match existing ironworks and can handle the whole project from start to finish!

Juliette Balconies

Juliet balconies are named after Juliet, who courted Romeo from her balcony in Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

Juliette Balconies are becoming increasing popular as they allow an upstairs room to have large doors instead of just a window. This gives much more light, the feeling of space and maximises the view.

What are French Balconies?

Juliette Balconies are also know as ‘French Balconies’. Traditionally these would be seen in a French Hotel which would have a large windows that open fully with a balustrade designed for leaning against. These are strong iron installations which are often very decorative. They allow you to enjoy the view and fresh air from a window.
